  3. Description:
  4.   A simple but unique file viewer that lets you view and
  5.   manipulate ASCII, DBF, ARC, ARJ, LZH, PAK, ZIP, BIF, BMP, GIF,
  6.   JPEG, PCX, TARGA, and TIF files. dBASE support includes
  7.   database management and a report writer. Archive support
  8.   includes archiving, extracting, and deleting files. Image
  9.   support includes processing, cropping, saving across formats,
  10.   "slide-show" viewing, and printing to a HP LaserJet/DeskJet,
  11.   Epson 24-pin dot-matrix, or compatible printer.

  13. * FileBUDDY can view any size file, whether the file is 1 byte or 1
  14.   gigabyte in length.

  16. * FileBUDDY lets you capture text to a file by taking a "snapshot" of
  17.   it.  When a snapshot is taken, it is done "intelligently".  That
  18.   is, overlapping text in consecutive snapshots will not be
  19.   duplicated in the destination file.

  21.  * FileBUDDY incorporates a printer setup facility which allows you
  22.    configure any printer when printing text files.

  24. * FileBUDDY views dBASE files.  It can also edit, add, delete,
  25.   undelete records, create and "pack" dBASE files, and generate
  26.   "quick & dirty" reports.

  28.  * FileBUDDY views archive files.  If the proper archiver is
  29.    available, ARC, ARJ, LZH, PAK, ZIP, and associated self-extracting
  30.    files can be viewed down to 5 levels deep.  Support for archiving
  31.    files and extracting/deleting archived files is also provided.

  33. * FileBUDDY displays image files.  If a VGA or a SVGA (with an ATI,
  34.   Paradise, Trident, Tseng, Video 7, or "VESA" chipset) video card is
  35.   detected, BIF (binary), BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, TARGA, and TIF image
  36.   files can be viewed.  Video cards with 32k, 64k, or 16m modes are
  37.   supported when displaying 24-bit images.  If extended or expanded
  38.   memory is available, it will be used to hold the image.  Images too
  39.   large to fit the best video mode can be "navigated" using the
  40.   cursor keys or resized to fit the best video mode.  Other image
  41.   handling capabilities include processing, cropping, saving across
  42.   image formats (including to EPS), and "slide-show" viewing.  Images
  43.   may be printed to HP LaserJet, HP DeskJet 500c, Epson 24-pin dot-
  44.   matrix, or compatible printers with or without a user-defined
  45.   border.  (Printing to file is also supported.) Printing resolution
  46.   up to 1200 DPI is supported for printers that support it.
